- Its not the vacuum pump. The vacuum pump only provides operating vacuum to the power brakes, and the intake manifold flap vacuum-actuator. If the power brakes work fine, the vacuum pump is OK. You need someone to tell you the DTC codes to figure this out. The PCV system on the 2.0 TSI/TSFI is not typicaly problematic.
